Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life. Remember that fear always lurks behind perfectionism. David M. Burns The difference between school and life? In school, you’re taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you’re given a test that teaches you a lesson. Town hall meetings related to the repair needs of the Douglas County School District

You are invited to one or all three town hall meetings related to the repair needs of the Douglas County School District. The meetings will occur Thursday, October 6, 2016, at Zephyr Cove Elementary School; Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Carson Valley Middle School; and Thursday October 20, 2016 at CC Meneley Elementary School. All three of these meetings are scheduled to begin at 6:00PM and conclude by 7:00PM.

Boys Basketball Open Gym / Tryouts

Open gyms for 6-7-8th graders will be held on Sept. 29th and Oct. 6th from 2:30 to 4:00 in the main gym. These open gyms are not mandatory and boys can still tryout if they do not attend the open gyms.
8th grade boys tryouts will be on Oct. 11th from 2:30-5:00 and Oct. 14th from 2:30 to 5:00.
6-7th grade tryouts will be on Oct. 19th and 20th from 2:30-5:00 in the main gym.
For open gym or tryouts, all boys need to have an athletic packet turned into the office. The packet is available on our "Athletics" school webpage or in the front office. In that athletic packet there is a physical exam form that needs to be filled out by a doctor and athletes need to have proof of medical insurance.
7-8th graders who have already played/or tried out for a sport do not need to have a new packet filled out.
