CONGRATULATIONS Emmanuel Gaytan-Vargas Nevada Geography Bee Winner

A super shout out to Emmanuel Gaytan-Vargas as the winner of the 7th grade Nevada Geography Bee. We are so proud of you and your accomplishment. The winning question was to name of the major city within 200 miles of the great depression (land form) in the Middle East. Further, Emmanuel participated in the national competition in Washington, DC. Outstanding! Congratulations to you and your supportive family.

8th Grade Promotion Activity; June 6, 2018 @ 6:00 PM

Good luck to the 8th graders moving on to Douglas High School and beyond. This is a reminder that we have an 8th grade promotion event this June 6, 2018, at 6:00PM in the CVMS gym. We are asking 8th graders, if they wish to participate, to report to their assigned advisory in the A-hallway by 5:45PM, parents you are welcome to find a seat in the bleachers or chairs on the floor of the gym. Please look for the invitations in the mail the week of May 21, 2018. As is often the case, parking is at a premium and all public use of the facility and grounds has been canceled for the evening.

2018-2019 Registration Information

Appointments for registration for the 2018-2019 school year will be taken starting Friday, July 27, 2018. Registration will begin on Monday, July 30, 2018. If your child attended one of the Carson Valley Middle School elementary feeder schools in Douglas County (MES, GES, PHES or JVES) your child is already registered. If you are moving into the area from outside the Douglas County School District, or if your child attended a private school, you will need to register.
