Hello to all prospective parent volunteers:
The Douglas County School District requires all volunteers in our schools to complete a volunteer packet and be fingerprinted. The Douglas County School District has established a deadline of February 28, 2017 for which all current volunteers are required to submit their volunteer packet, which will include a state criminal records check. The Douglas County School District will allow those with processing volunteer packets to continue volunteering while waiting for the background clearance. After February 28, 2017, volunteers will not be allowed to work in the schools until we receive the report of their background check and they are officially cleared by the District. The District will notify the school after a volunteer has been cleared.
There are two volunteer packets attached to this webpage.
Additionally, you will find a volunteer introduction letter attached as well. Volunteers will be asked to pay $10 for the fingerprinting, with the District picking up the addition cost of $29.50 per volunteer.
Packets can be returned directly to the District Office, or CVMS can accept them to send to the District Office through intra-district mail.
